Dos décadas de 'Habaneras' La conocida copla fue escrita hace 20 años por Antonio Burgos, hijo adoptivo de Cádiz Eran los primeros días de otoño del año 1984 cuando Carlos Cano y Antonio Burgos aprovecharon un fin de semana para irse juntos al Coto de Doñana a 'parir' lo que durante un tiempo habían estado gestando con tanto mimo y cariño: "Habaneras de Cádiz" Así nacía una de las coplas más conocida y que han cantado voces de la calidad de María Dolores Pradera, Pasión Vega, Nati Mistral, Chano Lobato o Los del Río. Antonio Burgos, en un artículo publicado en la revista Andana y que este periódico recogió íntegramente en sus páginas un 7 de noviembre de 1985, contaba cómo estos dos andaluces compusieron esta copla guiados por el Cádiz que habían retenido en sus ojos en su visita a Cuba. Escribieron primero la letra y luego vino la música, "pero había que meterse en Cádiz", recuerda en el artículo Antonio Burgos y "no había más remedio que volver a Cádiz" ya "don José María Pemán" ya su "Viudita naviera", que cantara la comparsa de Paco Alba, para completar la obra musical. Con "la viudita que se va a casar por poder.... por poder tener un marío que la lleve a la Alamea, y con el chisme que es como un jazmín que se convierte en palmera...", este letrista empezó a comprender el Carnaval. Cuenta que de "allí salió el ritmo interior de La Habanera" y luego "ya solo hubo que dejar hablar al corazón que Carlos y yo habíamos encontrado en La Habana". Pero le faltaba la gracia ...

Natalie Cole - Pink Cadillac ( HQ 1080p HD Upscale ) "Pink Cadillac" is a humorous song by Bruce Springsteen which though a minor item in his canon of recorded music was a prominent concert number during Springsteen's 1984-85 Born in the USA Tour. Like Prince's "Little Red Corvette", "Pink Cadillac" follows the tradition of the Wilson Pickett R&B classic "Mustang Sally" in using automobile travel as a metaphor for sexual activity, particularly as sung by Springsteen as the lyric: "I love you for your pink Cadillac" was originally a veiled pudendal reference. Springsteen, in fact, vetoed the first attempt by a female singer to release a version of "Pink Cadillac", that being Bette Midler in 1983. However "Pink Cadillac" had its highest profile incarnation via an R&B interpretation by Natalie Cole which became Top Ten single in 1988. In the mid-1980s Natalie Cole recorded "Pink Cadillac" at the suggestion of producer Dennis Lambert; Cole recalls: "I thought to myself, 'I'm too old to be doing this kind of stuff'" "but then I'd never worked with anyone quite like Dennis before. He was very passionate about his work and his enthusiasm gave me the confidence that I could pull the song off." The track was intended for an album release on the Modern label; that project was canceled and Cole's "Pink Cadillac" and another Lambert production: "I Live For Your Love", were picked up by EMI-Manhattan Records to appear on Cole's 1987 album Everlasting.
